Just purchased upgrade to v6 (4-pack).
Is it necessary or required to uninstall version 5 before installing v6?
Thanks,
Jeff

No, uninstalling v5 it isn't necessary as it will be removed and replaced by v6 during the update / installation process.  Downloading and installing the full version of v6.will, of course, require entry and validation of a v6 licence key.

Oops. My fault. I should have read the FAQs before I posted. The v6 installation uninstalls v5 during the upgrade process.
I installed v6 with no problems, created the required recue media, and a rescue partition.
I've been a Macrium user since v4. Happy to have v6.

Thanks Arvy. As you can see in my reply to myself, I figured it out by reading the FAQs after (duh!) I asked my question. I should have done that in reverse.

No problem.  There are a lot of them to read and being anxious to get started with the new version makes it quite natural to want a quick answer to that question.  Besides, it certainly does no harm to have the info available here in the forum as well.

Hi

Just to add a little, to install a license key use Download Agent as follows:

To download and install the latest version 6 of Macrium Reflect get and run the Download Agent available from: http://updates.macrium.com/reflect/v6/reflectdl.exe  In the dialog which appears select 'Full Software' and enter your license key then click on 'Download'.

As previously stated the installation will overwrite previous versions.

Hope this helps

Regards

et

Yes, but keep in mind that v6 has some new features and settings that weren't available when those old job definitions were created.  So it would be wise to recheck and update them just to be sure that they all still do what you want them to do.
