I would love to be able to schedule a backup for the first day of the month but it is not an option. I wonder if it might be possible to add that as a suggestion. Another would be to be able to schedule differential backups for every day of the month starting on a given day of the month such as, in my example above, on the 2nd day of the month.
I'm interested in learning if there is any support for such a scheduling capability and if Macrium might be willing to implement it.

I've yet to migrate from using the Windows task scheduler to using the Macrium one (if I do, it ain't broke & all that, at least for the schedules I've set), but you can certainly do any or all of those things in scheduled tasks. I'm pretty sure you already can in the Macrium one too (I'd be completely amazed if you can't).. it'd be a poor scheduler that didn't let you pick monthly & then set what date(s)...

I will look into the Windows task scheduler but it most certainly is not currently possible to do this type of thing in Macrium's scheduler. I can set it to backup on the first day of a week but not the first day of the month unless I am missing something ... and I have looked and looked and looked

It is possible -- choose the "Day" option, then select the day of the month:



                                

Well you just create multiple schedules, your full on day X of the month, & your diffs every day.. all starting at the same time, whichever is the "senior" type runs..
If I'm understanding what you want to achieve, the interface is very similar to the Windows setup for "Create a basic task" now I take a quick look.

It may not be quite as flexible if you edit a schedule to add multiple triggers, but it's certainly pretty straightforward to set up the kinds of things that most users want, including the sorts you describe.

The Windows scheduler if you create a task & pick monthly gives you a dropdown with checkboxes for which months (so you could in theory select even numbered months only), and a second dropdown with checkboxes for which dates in the selected months.. so.. if you wanted to do anything so strange you could schedule a task to run on even numbered days in even numbered months... or every day except the third in every month except december.. or all kinds of weird stuff.

Macrium's backups run perfectly happily scheduled from either one, the Windows one has some bugs which cause some backups to get skipped under certain conditions to do with the change to & from daylight saving time if I recall, hence Macrium creating their own, which doesn't have that issue.  Be aware the Windows one does if you use it instead.

The screenshot you showed above is consistent regardless of whether Reflect is configured to use Macrium Task Scheduler or Windows Task Scheduler under the hood.

Thanks for clarifying, JP -- I just wanted to explicitly correct the inaccurate claim that the requested functionality was "most certainly" not available in Macrium's scheduler.

Absolutely right, @JK.  And, also for the record, you do it the same way using Windows Task Scheduler (as I used to do before Macrium Task Scheduler was introduced) -- in fact, if you switch scheduler via Defaults and Settings->Schedule Settings, Reflect does the right thing to transfer existing schedules.

For the future reader:  While the OP of this topic wanted to schedule on the first day of every month,  my 4 home systems schedule their backups on different days so as to distribute the load.  Thus, mine are set to do their full backup on the FIRST occurrence of that system's assigned day rather than a specific date of the month.  For example, my laptop has the following schedule:

(The Incremental has no scheduled date/time; it's there as a convenience to be able to invoke a quick incremental at any time by manually invoking it with right-click Run Now from the Scheduled Backups tab, thus using all the same settings from the Backup Definition File.)
