New Western Dig 1TB USB Ext Bkup Drv  NTFS  3.0  WDBYNN0010BBK-WESN (BK Black)
2018 Same ..............................................................WDBYNN0010BBL-0B (BL Blue)  - WESN Vs -OB ??

Unlike 3 other WD Bkup Drives used now/prior with V7 this new one Writes 35X - 50X faster ( 7-11 GB/s Vs Low 200's MB/s) than older units BUT Macrium v7 is inexplicably taking huge chunks of time "Testing Disk Write Speed" Before beginning (ie) a 5 Min Read-Write-Verify of a 9 GB INCR.
1st INCR Tested for 31 Minutes (I observed) to net a 36 Min Read-Write-Verify process for what takes the older ones 10 minutes at 220 MB/s Write.
2nd INCR 2 GB took 37 Min.
WD Forum mostly volunteers & No Reply. WD Sppt next call.

Can anyone guess what's going on with this lengthy Testing Write Speed before Image creation.

A little embarrassing but I just did a 9 Min 6 GB INCR using an older unit's Cable and USB Port.
I couldn't believe you could go from low 200's Mb/s Write to 7-11 Gb/s Write with a problem cable or port, so I didn't test B4 posting. - Sorry.
The New Writes have been 734 Mb/s, 1.1 Gb/s, and 2.7 Gb/s BUT No Dramatic Reduction in typical Full / Incr Times Vs low 200's Mb/s Writes of other Drives.
Lesson Learned.

2018 Drv-Cbl in New Drv's Port = (2) I/O Errors. Bad Port. .....  2018 OK INCR when back in old port.
