What determines the file list order when you edit an XML for a File And Folder backup that already has existing files/folders added to it?  I'll go in, add a file/folder, go in to add more, and the entry I just added is not at the bottom of the list, usually.  It's been "sorted" somehow, but I can't determine what the sort criteria might be.  It doesn't appear to be alphabetical or based on what drive letter the files are on.  It seems random, but maybe there's something I'm missing.

Thanks!

Chris

HI @dbminter

Currently there is no sort order for the list items in the "Folders To Backup" list. I have raised a dev ticket to look into this and improve this area of the process. I cannot confirm ETA at this time.

Many thanks and kind regards.

I just don't know why the list isn't in the order the files are added.  If there is no sort criteria, why are the files not in the order they are added in by the user?  There is some kind of rearranging going on.

Hi @dbminter

Thanks for getting back to us. After reviewing the code I can say that all new folders added for backup will always be appended to the list, please can you raise a support ticket by visiting https://www.macrium.com/support or email support (at) macrium (dot) com so that we can investigate further. If possible provide screenshots of what you are seeing.

Also, I have now added sort functionality into this list. The code should be released in the next week or two pending review and further testing.

Many thanks and kind regards.
