We have had two reports that Reflect no longer starts and Windows reports "Cannot find <installation folder>\Reflect.exe". This is due to AVG PC Tune Up trying to redirect Reflect to launch the AVG PC Tune Up tool via the following Windows registry key:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\reflect.exe

If you delete this key Reflect will start as expected.

We are in contact with AVG regarding their software breaking our software.

Thanks,

Mike.

Jeez, Mike, an executable redirect almost sounds like deliberate sabotage.  It certainly seems like a very strange use of that registry key.  As if OS "upgrades" weren't causing you enough headaches.

It's been my experience that any "PC Tune Up" utility often breaks more than it fixes, especially when dealing with registry entries. I've been using Registry Clean Expert for many years and it's never caused any problems with software plus it backs up the registry before making any changes. I have no financial interest in the company and am just sharing my experience.
