Macrium 7 on a Windows 10 laptop.
Backing up to hard drive of Windows 10 tower via network share.
Full disk image worked (took like 18 hours, but finished successfully)
File & Folder test backup of a single folder with a single file in it succeeded.
However, when backing up a folder with 136MB of data from an SSD drive, or anything more than that, the backup just hangs. It says it's running, but no temporary file is created in the destination. It remains in this state indefinitely. The backup can't be cancelled from within Macrium, have to end all the Macrium tasks in Task Manager. I say all the tasks because with the hung backup there's a list of 5 or 6 Macrium services that are running.

Can anyone shed some light on this situation and tell me how to get backups to run to a network share please? Keep in mind that a simplest-case test does work; anything more than that seems to fail.

Thanks

Have you configured user credentials that have read/write access to the target network share under Edit Defaults > Network User? When you relaunch Reflect and check the Logs area, did the hung job generate one? Anything useful there? Are you specifying the network share via mapped drive letter or UNC path (\\servername\sharename) and are you starting these backups manually or are they scheduled backups?
