file versioning with incremental merge

How is file versioning handled with the v6 incremental merge functionality?  i.e. if a file was changed in incremental backups 1 and 5, what happens when incremental backups 1 through 5 are merged?

Hi ilmhstc.

When incrementals are consolidated the resulting incremental will contain the state of the file system at the time of the most recent incremental that was part of the consolidation.
