Event Log errors with MRCBT....

By ReneM - 3 December 2018 5:43 PM

In connection with Version 7, I have received about 50 updates and complete new versions of Macrium Reflect to fix errors, shortcomings and issues that seem to continue indefinitely.

Most recently, in connection with the 3906 update, I now get a series of error messages in Event Log regarding MRCBT with Event ID: 1013.

The errors occur whether Reflect is to backup files and folders or an Image System Build.
As suggested elsewhere, I have already tried a 'repair' of Reflect, but unfortunately without any results.

I am sincerely concerned about whether a created System Image works if I have to use it one day.

In the future, I do not have the opportunity to spend so much of my time on the product. It is one of the few software programs we have to trust in the same way as with anti-virus programs.

Will the many fixes and updates cease at some point and how do I get rid of the new MRCBT error messages in the event log and can I trust that the System Images performed will work smoothly if I need it one day?

Thanks in advance.

I have started to see this same issue recently within the last update or so. I am running v7 latest update

I have numerous event log entries id 1013 attributed to mrcbt, IRP_MJ_READ, status code 0x80000010:

Typically they occur in groups of three per volume shadow copy device. Backup images seem to be ok, as best as I can tell.

From the backup log I see:
Querying all shadow copies with the SnapshotSetID {809b41af-0081-4ee8-84e4-ab6bfa216eab} ...

* SNAPSHOT ID = {9af789e3-b02b-4513-9a16-80c2c5c52c86} ...
 - Shadow copy Set: {809b41af-0081-4ee8-84e4-ab6bfa216eab}
 - Original count of shadow copies = 1
 - Original Volume name: \\?\Volume{6fb79a95-1367-11e4-8601-806e6f6e6963}\ [C:\]
 - Creation Time: 12/3/2018 9:00:46 AM
 - Shadow copy device name: \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy90
 - Originating machine: lenovoS30w7
 - Service machine: lenovoS30w7
 - Not Exposed
 - Provider id: {b5946137-7b9f-4925-af80-51abd60b20d5}
 - Attributes: Auto_Release Differential

I originally was running with CBT enabled per backup, but I disabled that under advanced settings, but it seems to make no difference in the errors.
If I do a VSSADMIN listing, I get:

where shadow copies 87,88,89 are listed, but not 90. Strange.
