As the title says the folder backup is hanging, is there anything I can check or am I better deleting the backups and recreating from scratch?

UPDATE: So I deleted the backups and re-ran the definition file and on the 1st run it's worked but I would still like to get to the bottom of the issue, the logs show nothing apart from me cancelling the job.

Can you describe the device that contains your backups and how it's connected?

Windows 11 Home (22H2)  Build 22621.1992  (Laptop)

If you have any 3rd party Anti-Virus software such as Malwarebytes, please make sure that you exclude the following applications.

C:\Program Files\Macrium\Reflect\Reflect.exe
C:\Program Files\Macrium\Reflect\ReflectBin.exe

3rd party Anti-virus software has been known to cause issues with the reflect.

Still experiencing this issue even after an update to the latest version?

I am backing up to a NAS which has the user/pass combination saved, interestingly I have a number of flies and folders that backup on a schedule and it's ALWAYS the 'Downloads' task which happens to be the biggest folder. I will and have noted the advice about Anti Virus and will double check my settings, it's not a huge issue as I can simply delete the existing backups and run a Full backup.

Thanks for the answers, hope I can shed some light on it

I'm getting outside my comfort zone here but wonder if you"re backing up wirelessly to the NAS?

No, it's via ethernet, it's just done it again so I'll recreate the job and see if that makes any difference. I have now reset the save folder to a local drive instead of the NAS and will see if that makes any difference.

I'll recreate the job and see if that makes any difference.

If you have not already done the above or this does not resolve the issue, please can you follow the instructions below to generate a DMP file.

Open Task Manager and navigate to the details tab, when in here find reflectbin.exe (Reflect will need to be open). Please keep this tab open.

Please replicate this issue and when reflect is in a hanging state go back to task manager and right-click reflectbin.exe > Create Dump File.

Once the file is generated please can you open a support ticket ( https://www.macrium.com/support ) referencing this forum post.

I will try to do that, it's actually just running without issue so I'll monitor it over the coming days (it's a daily schedule at 9am)
