Windows 11 21H2, Macrium 8.1 ,  build 7336., year of support terminated.
system was double boot with windows 10 until two months ago, from then only windows 11 which swallowed 80% of disk size, 20% data partition.
PC underwent a lot of reboots in last few days coz i wanted to modify some security programs and I uninstalled BitDefender,VodooShield and Windows Firewall control with Revo Uninstaller.
Not satisfied with new install I went back to a Macrium image of a couple of days before ,but I could not complete the proceedings as instead of going to the WIM macrium section to finish the job a new black screen with a few options showed up asking to press Esc to reach the UEFI or enter to go to the existing OS,windows11.
I chose the OS and Macrium advised it couldnt proceed and also offered an update, which I did.
After the update the situation was the same:  the Macrium sector did not start, showing the same options as before.
I decided to try with Rescue Media key, which, luckily, worked ok and I was able to redeploy the image I needed, but I verified later that the Macrium sector at startup was not working, not there or what, showing again same options.
The windows 11 system boot is fine and everything is ok with the OS.
I later found out here that Macrium 8.1 had some problems similar to mine.
I cannot remain with a flawed system which needs a lot of expertise and time to fix, so I need the forum advice: shall I go back to Macrium 8? Or ,worse yet, shall I  clean reinstall  to fix this problem?

Thanks, Zantig

I made a fuss but if I had used some of Poirot little grey cells I would have spared some space here: actually I decided to open Macrium and went to Rescue builder, WIM, opted to ADD a new W11, fearing I might have two similar Macrium entries at boot but LO!! it is now perfectly   working again!
Maybe this post could help someone who is suffering for nothing like I did!

If you originally had built Rescue Media as a Boot Menu option, the Wim with Reflect installed, the Windows Boot Manager looks for it on the system disk (usually CSmile and is located at C:\boot.  I suspect that your cleanup of the disk to recover space might have deleted that Wim.    If you built the Rescue Media on a CD or Flash drive, they encapsulate the Wim on the external media.
