I've just started testing Site Manager, and it seems like it's impossible to create a backup definition that allows me split the image files. Is this really true? I can do it with Reflect 8, if I install the full workstation app on each client, but I'm surprised I can't do it with Site Manager. It makes backing up the image files nearly impossible, if they're just going to stay a single file that keeps growing...

Hi,

Site Manager will create a single file for each backup - so the full, differential and incremental backups will all be in different files. Reflect has an option to divide backups into smaller files (e.g. 4GB parts) which can be useful for cases where the backup data must be copied to a FAT32 or other file system with a small maximum file size. We haven't made this an option in Site Manager as the focus is more on network based backup, but I will add your request to our tracking system in support of it.

This feature is still with development - it is on the roadmap for development, but I can't give a specific timeline for release
