Hi,

Been running SIteManger now for 3+ years and had notification e-mails set to use an e-mail subject of "Site Manger Notification - Backup - XXXXX", where XXXX was replaced by either "Successful" or "Failed".

I think this was done by using the variable $status in the subject line.

I've just upgraded to v8.0.6898 and my subject line now just says "Site Manager Notification - Backup -".
The status has disappeared.

I've looked at adding the variable back, but it doesn't appear in the list.

Other $ variables exist, but not status.

Why has this changed?

Where has the "status" gone?

Can you bring it back - it's very useful.

I appreciate it's part of the e-mail body, but a quick check of subject lines is easier to identify failed backups.

Hope to hear back soon.

I opened a support ticket and got a really quick response.

I needed to insert variable $notificationtype into the subject field.

Everything is now working again.

Clearly the upgrade to v8.0.6898 doesn't preserve all existing setting.

Watch out for this when upgrading.

Hello whizzywhiz,

Thank you for posting on our forum.

The $notificationtype variable will handle Success/Failed subject lines.

Kind Regards
