Just upgraded to Site Manager Version 8.0.6898, and now I'm no longer receiving email notifications of backup activity. Nothing has changed on my email server side. Testing the SMTP configuration through the Site Manager interface always results in the error "Failed to send, invalid connection type (plaintext)". The event log shows an email was sent with status of "info" (eg, no error logged there). My email server log shows no connection attempt made though.

I tried some different Connection Type and Authentication settings, with the same (failed) result each time.

Can anyone suggest a fix?

Thanks in advance,
KM

Hi KM,

Just to confirm that we have replicated this internally and will provide an update soon. STARTTLS and SSL/TLS modes are not affected.

Kind Regards,

Alex
