Please, please, please give us the ability to backup to cloud repositories such as:

- Backblaze B2
- Azure Blob Storage
- Wasabi
- Google Cloud
- Acronis Storage
- Amazon S3

I know there is Azure File Share support but this isn't very convenient and, in Ireland, the overall schools broadband filter blocks SMB acccess - all my customers are schools.

It would be fantastic if you could bring out this support.  I love Macrium Reflect but I'm having to look at alternatives now as my customers want offsite cloud backups.

Many thanks,

Steve Garvey (Partner/MSP).

This is an absolute long term must. Most everyone has at LEAST a hybrid infrastructure in 2022. Also, from a DR/BC perspective it would be great to be able to ship your backups to the cloud for archive. Backups should exist in more than one location and the cloud is now the default vs. old skool tape.

Specifically immutability or WORM cloud storage would extend the anti-malware/ anti-ransomware features that are offered in Image Guardian. AWS and Wasabi already support this and it is supported in a variety of competitive backup offerings.

I 100% agree and would like to see this feature in a near release. Lack of cloud storage options was the only reason I would have chosen to stray from Macrium. All other features are slam dunks in my opinion. I resorted to using Rclone as part of a post script to copy my files to B2. This solution works great, but native support would be even better.

I create a symlink between my reflect image folder on my second drive (but can be on a usb drive as well) to a onedrive folder e.g.

mklink /j c:\users\ABCD\onedrive\macriumimages e:\macriumimages.

Then when I create image to e:\macriumimages, it is automatically synched to onedrive.

The same technique can be used for any cloud services that allows synching from a pc folder to the cloud service.

That may be helpful for your use case but for many other who have different compliance and security requirements it will NOT. I need the ability to backup to Amazon, Microsoft Azure or Wasabi with storage encryption and immutability.  =)

Certainly a nice workaround. I considered using Google Drive, but the costs involved for sync type cloud storage providers was prohibitive for the amount of data I need to store. In any case, storage like Drive and OneDrive don't provide the same functionality of object storage like S3, B2, and Wasabi. Everyone has a different use case, and Macrium has acknowledged this subject in a few different discussions I've come across, so the item is on the table for discussion. The argument thus far has been to keep from diluting the Reflect product, which I respect, but so many other solutions are including various cloud capabilities, it just seems the logical path of progression

Hallelujah, brother - I asked the same question last year. It would be PERFECT to use Reflect to backup to a cloud service.

One thing - in looking at Macrium Site Manager, there's an option to (in my case) backup my device to my NAS and TO DO A REMOTE SYNC. Here, it appears that I can add an S3 compatible location (including Backblaze & Wasabi out of the box). So, does that mean that it'll do a backup and then automatically sync the backup file to BB (my existing acct?

I am not sure putting the capability directly in Reflect is such a good idea as cloud services change all the time, and keeping up with that is a lot of overhead in Reflect Development and ongoing maintenance.

I suspect vast majority of Reflect Home users would not use this as internet is probably not fast enough anyway

I always ask people if they are prepared to pay a premium add on fee for a specialised feature of a (probably) limited userbase.

Nearly always, people bristle at that suggestion i.e. "we want this expensive feature but we are not prepared to pay our fair share".

Just as Home users get extra features over free version, by paying a fee, I see no contradiction in having additional focussed add-ons for items that have high development/maintenance costs, and I could see this definitely being in that category..

The alternative is the cost of Home rises significantly for all users, and that may have a negative influence i.e. users defecting to another tool.  Of course, it is up to the Reflect Management to assess the commercial impact and burden on long term maintenance, and development of such a feature, and develop  an appropriate costing structure.

This is a must have feature, please. Site Manager has it (or something like it), but the Home version needs it!

Absolutely a must have in 2022. ALL other backup products that want to be considered SMB or Enterprise products ALREADY have these features. If resources are an issue at Macrium then a new Enterprise product should be created that costs more. I'd gladly pay more to see an already great product extended hybrid computing reality of 2022.

Charge more for a higher tear product with more feature parity to competitive offerings or lose customers. It is a fundamental market reality. I'd like to see a large number of cloud backup options natively supported.
