Hi, I'd like to create a dual boot menu for windows 7 and windows 10. What steps should I take? Any advice on how to do this is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not sure what this has to do with Macrium REFLECT, an imaging application. Maybe I need more information...

Other users are able to dual boot with Linux and Windows so it is possible (posted in Home»Reflect V7»Rescue Media»Dual Boot - Windows and Linux . I just don't know how to go about it.

I'm a bit confused. You posted this in a V6 forum. I'm guessing you are a Reflect user with a later version. Is that correct?
Windows 10 Home (22H2) Build 19045.2965 (Desktop) Windows 11 Home (22H2) Build 22621.963 (Laptop)
Macrium Reflect 8.1.7469
Windows Defender Malwarebytes Premium 4.5.24

Yes it's possible, but your answer still doesn't explain what this has to do with Reflect. The fact that someone else posted something off-topic somewhere else in the forum isn't really relevant. There are many guides on the Internet for dual booting various combinations of OSes, including Win7 and Win10, that you should be able to surface by simply Googling "Dual boot Windows 7 and Windows 10". If you just want an application to customize a boot menu, look into EasyBCD. The Rescue Media Builder's Windows boot menu application has nothing at all to do with creating or managing a dual boot environment.

The fact that someone else posted about Dual booting and it generated a bit of discussion does make the topic relevant whether you believe it to be so or not. If you don't have a polite response and it pains you to be remotely helpful, then don't respond. To the moderator: You may close this question as I'll see if the other dual booters resolved their issue in the other Macrium thread.

Snarky or condescending? Pained by being remotely helpful? I suggested Googling a phrase that would give you multiple relevant results, specifically recommended EasyBCD for managing the Windows boot menu in dual boot scenarios, and clarified that Reflect’s only functionality for managing the boot menu would not be useful for managing a dual boot scenario. If that isn’t remotely helpful, exactly what does a helpful response look like to you?

And for what it's worth, if you can consider this helpful advice rather than snark or condescension, when asking for technical assistance like this, it helps to provide a bit more technical information and context. You asked how to set up a dual boot menu, but you gave no information about your current state. Are you starting from an empty hard drive and planning to perform clean installs of both OSes? Do you already have one OS installed and want to add the second? Do you have both OSes installed and somehow just need the boot menu that you should already have but for whatever reason don't? Or do you have one OS and a Reflect image backup of the other OS that you want to restore and then create a boot menu to allow switching between them? (That last one incidentally would have clarified the connection between your dual boot goals and your choice to ask about it in a Macrium forum rather than any number of other places on the Internet related to general Windows issues/questions.) The steps for achieving a dual boot menu would be different for each of the scenarios I just described, so if you want help more specific than a suggestion to Google a phrase related to what you asked about, then the more information you can provide about your particular setup, the more likely you'll get responses that are relevant to your particular setup.

A better attempt at being helpful with less snark and condescension. You shouldn't assume that everyone is going to ask a question exactly to your liking or perfect specifications. This is after all, a help forum where a series of questions leads to answers/solutions. But if you start out being rude in your attempt to appear helpful, what is the benefit to anyone in that? I saw a solution regarding running a virtual machine over dual booting which is the direction I'm pointing in now. No more responses are necessary, thank you.
