Hello, I have a simple question -
I use several batch files running Backupper v7 for various tasks - backups, grandfatehr backups, etc.  They therefore invoke xml files created by Macrium Reflect.  E.g.:
"C:\Program Files\Macrium\Reflect\Reflect.exe" -e -w -full "C:\Users\myname\Documents\Reflect\BkupReflectCtoT.xml" -g

If I purchase Macrium v8 will I have to change all of them, or with the same batchfile run under the licensed v8?

Starting with some version of V7, scripts generated by Reflect call ReflectBin.exe rather than Reflect.exe. I think this change was related to enabling some additional options, so making that change may not be necessary to maintain the functionality you already have. But apart from that I wouldn’t expect you’d have to change anything. Reflect V8 can use V7 XML definition files, and the install path and EXE names are the same too.

Perfect, and Thank you.  I will move up to v8.

jphughan, You were spot on.  I purchased and downloaded Macrium Reflect Home Backupper v8, registered it and ran an existing compiled batch file backup from v7.  It is running without a hitch.  The computer new shortcut (Windows 10 Home 64 bit computer) initiates ReflectBin.exe from the same directory containing Reflect.exe, and Reflect.exe was NOT removed with the update.  Perfect - new backup applications can run with enhanced (Version 8) Macrium Reflect while my existing backups run using the still existing Reflect.exe application file.

Happy Camper here, now ready for the much dreaded but heavily hyped, eventually required Win 11 update to keep Microsoft coffers full once again.
