Since I've applied a Windows 10 update to "help prepare my system for Windows 11" I've been getting warnings in Macrium Image Guardian saying it's "blocked an unauthorised process (unknown)".
Should I disable Image Guardian during the Windows 11 conversion process?
Anyone know what it's trying to do to my backup files?

I am not sure what's going on, I came to suggest that you make sure and do one last FULL backup to a USB device you can keep off line before upgrading and keep that backup file safe.  In the event that Windows 11 does not work out you can restore to Windows 10 quickly.  I've suggested this on Reddit dozens and dozens of times when users want to upgrade some system.  Macrium has saved my more times then I can count when some update or patch really screwed it all up

After you have one last full backup then try to shut off Image Guardian.  Once 11 comes up try and see if IG will work OK.  If it does then you are golden, if it does not you have the choice of continuing without it or restoring back to 10 and waiting till 11 is more mature.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Windows 11 is off to a rough start.  People with AMD processors are really feeling the pain as 11 really hosed up the CPU performance, the recent 11 update reportedly made it WORSE!

I think the advice given above is good.  Image Guardian is obviously doing its job and protecting your backups from something in the Windows 11 "preparation process".  No telling what might be in store during the actual installation.
The Full backup to an external USB device and detaching the device afterwards sounds like a good insurance policy to me.
