Is there a way or utility that will allow you to add/edit comments/notes of the backup image file once it has been created?

Hi
You cannot modify an Image file after it has been created, you can create an Incremental or differential backup which contains all the changes since the Full or previous backup. See the following tutorial:
http://knowledgebase.macrium.com/display/KNOW/Differential+and+incremental+disk+images
If you wish to add comments to each backup whether full or incremental or differential, before the backup runs you can do so:
When you create the Full backup definition you can add comments to include information pertinent to the Full by selecting comments as in tutorial:
http://knowledgebase.macrium.com/display/KNOW/Advanced+Options
Before you run each Incremental or differential, right click the backup definition and select Edit. In the dialog seen you can select 'Advanced Properties' and select 'Comments' option, and change or add to the previous comments > 'OK'. These edited comments will be included with the next incremental or differential backup.
If you wish to see your comments at any time you can just go to a backup file, whether full or incremental or differential, right click and from the menu select 'Properties'. In the dialog seen by selecting the Macrium Reflect tab you can see the comments at the bottom of the dialog.
So I am afraid that you cannot add comments to a Full, incremental or differential after it runs, you can only do this before it runs.
Regards, et

The ability to edit backup comments after image creation appears to be a feature in the upcoming Macrium Reflect 8.
