Recently we had a computer drop off from one of our Site Manager instances, and when attempting to re-add the computer, we get the status message "Not Added - Computer is already managed". Is there a way to remove the configuration and allow us to readopt this computer?

Hi,
Site Manager requires that each computer have a unique NetBIOS name when added to the Site Manager - if you add a computer by name, you'll receive this error when adding a computer which is already managed. If you add a computer by IP, Site Manager will use DNS/LLMNR or NBT lookups to find the appropriate name for that computer. If you get this error when adding by IP, it's possible that for some reason one of the lookups is returning the wrong name. Adding by name should solve that problem.

If the computer is genuinely not in the list and you still get this error, it's best to contact our support team to get lots and see if they can work out what's happened.
