Configuration details:
Dell Latitude 5520 laptop with 11th Generation I7, 16G memory
System only supports S0 low power idle (S1, S2 & S3 sleep modes not supported) see uploaded powercfg image
W10 Pro 20H2, Macrium Reflect 7.3.5758

I've deselected the display backup notifications under Edit Defaults Advanced options...

Afterwards, I created new XML definition file and schedule.
Using WTS to schedule/run an incremental at 6:00am. The status of the notebook at the scheduled time has a logged on user and the screen is closed.

Per Task Schedule the job starts ~6:00am

But the task hangs until I open the Laptop & unlock the screen at which time I see the dialog box...

Am I missing something, or is this a bug/issue?

I don't see the Powercfg image, but just as a simpler test, what happens if the scheduled time arrives while the system is fully running and logged in?  Do you still see the postponement dialog?  And what state is your system in when the lid is closed?  I have my own systems set to do nothing when the lid is closed, so they stay fully running.  Does switching over to Macrium Task Scheduler rather than WTS make a difference?

RE powercfg image - sorry, I cut the top four line from an earlier post RE performance of scheduled task from S0 low power idle state here is the image...

RE postponement dialog.  It seems that to prevent the dialog from appearing, you have to check the "Do not show this message again" in the postponement dialog box.  After doing this, the box no longer appears and the backup process does start running without opening the laptop & unlocking.  However the original performance issue remains.  It takes 4-5 hours for the incremental backup to complete (typical time is 3-4 minutes).  The laptop is on AC power and I've tried it with the top both open and closed but in the low power idle state.  I've changed system to do nothing when the lid is closed and to never sleep while on AC power - will report the results when testing is completed.

I'm having almost the same problem as you zgrayfox so I will try your postponement dialog fix.
The only difference is that when mine backs up, it starts by making a ridiculous estimation of more than 2 hours to do an incremental backup but it finally does it in about 12 minutes.

FWIW, my laptop is on AC power using Windows balanced power setting, never sleep, and do nothing when lid is closed. I'm running a new Alienware Area 51m R2.

You might want to check my other Thread related to performance when the system is in S0 low power idle state (the so called "Modern Sleep" state).

Comments for Macrium...
The information pertaining to the Advanced Backup Option "Display backup notification ..." appears to be identical for the V6 & V7 manuals and the V6 & V7 Knowledge base article on "How to disable the backup notification dialog ...".  For V7 it seems that you have to check the "Do no show this message again" box on the backup notification dialog.  Without any documentation on this, it is not clear what the scope of this action is - This logged on user this session? This user? All Users?  Assuming that it is not limited to this session, How could this be Enabled again?

Thanks but that's a bit overly technical for me.
