Hello,

I'm using the mrverify.exe utility to automize my backup verification on a regular basis. I'm wondering if mrverify is not able to work on splitted archives, because if I try to run it on such a splitted file backup file, it fails:

C:\>mrverify.exe "D:\Backup-00-14.mrbak" -p [REMOVED]

Macrium Reflect Standalone Verification Application v7.2.4797
(c)2020 Paramount Software UK Ltd. All rights reserved

Configuration:
File(s)  : Backup-00-14.mrbak
Directory : D:\
Password : [REMOVED]
Recurse  : false
LogFile  : <none>
Set   : false
Fix   : false

Verification:
[D:\Backup-00-14.mrbak]
Verify Failure

Errors:
[D:\Backup-00-14.mrbak]
Unable to load image file

Result:
Verification failed

Can you confirm that it really does not work on splitted backups or am I doing something wrong? I also
tried it on another non-splitted backup which worked fine.
Thank you and best regards!

Some functions in Reflect will not work with split backups.  For instance, I use split backups in my schedules so I can't do scheduled Incrementals or Differentials.  I can do manuals of those types of backups, just not schedule them.  Which isn't a big problem for me, anyway, as I always prefer taking Full backups on my scheduled backups.  I will use manual Incrementals between daily backups when new software is installed/updated or some change is made to the system.

Interesting, scheduled Incrementals off a split backup work if you script the backup & schedule the script, at least they do for me.

I've never done any scripting, so, they may work for scripts.  I wouldn't know.  I just know that a few years ago, when I last tried it, Reflect wouldn't let me schedule Incrementals because they were split.

Hi,

thanks for your answers. That's unfortunate that it does not work with splitted archives. Then I have to set up my backups differently.
Thanks for your help anyway!
