Site manager is installed at my home server
After installation the disk where the backups are stored can not sleep any more (like it is constantly
accessed).

I want it to sleep to reduce noise and electricity (I know it lessens it's life)

Any solution?

Hi,

Site Manager polls the disk to checks that it is still available and writable to display appropriate repository status. This behaviour can be changed by setting the folowing registry key:


By default, repositories are checked once every 2 minutes, but if you change it to 86400, this will check once every 24 hours instead.

I tested the registry key at windows 8.1 x64  with latest site manager 7.3.5390

Unfortunately it does not seem to let disks sleep
The only way to let them sleep is to stop the service:
Macrium Remote Management Service

Of course stopping the Macrium Remote Management Service means stopping site manager..
