Based on reading the documentation, because I do only full disk images, I don't need CBT. So I uninstalled CBT and the backup fails doing the initial VSS snapshot. ( loops forever ).

What else do I need to do ?

I have uninstalled CBT on several computers and never ran into any problems.  The process I use is Settings > Apps > Macrium Reflect Home Edition > Modify > Uncheck “Install CBT".  You might try a reboot.

Are you getting any specific message with the failure?  If so, a screenshot may help

I got no error indication, it just loops forever creating a snapshot.
I tried your suggestion (rebooting after uninstalling CBT) and it worked.

This forum is great. Smile

Yes, I believe the default behavior is not to indicate a restart when uninstalling CBT, but I always do so after uninstalling it, just in case.
