Hello - I am only able to browse Full images in the backup repositories. Incrementals error out when trying to mount. This is happening on 8 servers across 2 MSM installations. I am on the latest builds of Macrium Reflect Server and MSM.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I've gone through the main Macrium support channel (Ticket 69864) and they cannot resolve it. Thank you!

Found the issue. Turned out the ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES acct needs to have full control NTFS permissions on the windows/temp folder. I am able to browse incrementals now.

Thanks for getting back and glad you're sorted.

The default NTFS ACLs for c:\windows\temp are all that's required for Incremental images to browse. This includes the SYSTEM account and it's this account that needs full control for kernel drivers to read/write to a folder.

Are you running any Anti-Virus software other than Windows Defender? It would be interesting to understand how the SYSTEM account permissions got revoked.

Kind Regards

We run Webroot Secure Anywhere on the SM server. The SYSTEM acct already had full NTFS rights on the temp folder... but ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES had only read rights. After changing that to full control the incs mounted. I'm glad it was a simple fix.
