Hi,

I need a way to backup an hotel server, running their Front desk software : Brilliant PMPro. It will be on Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials. I've spoke with their tech support to see if imaging the drive every night would be a proper backup solution. They told me that backup programs which take snapshots of the hard drive usually disconnects the internet for a short time and crash their program.... Do you guys think that Macrium Reflect could really crash their program?

Here it is in their wording : "Image backups using “snapshots” causes a very short network disconnect, meaning that the application will crash and therefore we do not recommend to use snapshots. At the same time, this type of backup is not usable for Brilliant PMPRO. We need to be able to restore an exact point in time for the hotel, that is always the status before the Night Audit."

Hi jackLebeau,

Thanks for posting.

Reflect uses Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy and will backup your server without any interruptions.

Kind Regards

Stephen
