I had a series of split image files numbered 00 through 10.  I split the files across 2 BD-R's, with 00 through 04 on the first disc and 05 through 10 on the 2nd.  I started a Manual Verify of the contents, but the file order Verified was odd.  It Verified 00 and then asked for 10 instead of 01!  I inserted the 2nd disc and 10 was Verified then it wanted to Verify 01!

Why didn't it Verify 01 after 00?  Why did it skip to 10?

Thanks!

Is it possible that it was going to the last file to get the index or whatever it writes at the end of the backup before proceeding with the verify?  I had also noticed this behaviour when I was backing up to media that could not hold an entire backup.

Normally, what happens is you have to load the last file, which contains the index.  Then, Verify verifies all items in order in the chain.  Because, what happened here was 00 was Verified then 10 was.  If it was going by the index, you'd think it would Verify 10 first and then ask for 00, I'd think.

Had another split image set.  This one numbered 00 to 11, spread out over 3 discs.  It Verified 00 then 01 and then 02, in the expected order.

Now, what might have influenced the first set was its backed up contents.  It was an image of 7 partitions across 2 different HDD's.
