I am running and backing up Windows 7 Professional. During installation, MR created a "sub-folder" called .backupmanager under every single folder on the Drive being backed up -- this is very annoying.
Is there anything in Settings that would allow me to hide all these MR created subfolders? Or, another way to indicate which "folders" are being captured in the backup process? (Carbonite using a single green dot -- this is much less intrusive.) Thanks.

Reflect doesn’t do that even when you run a backup, never mind when installing. At that point it wouldn’t even know what you were planning to have it back up. A quick Google search suggests that this folder you’re seeing is related to an application called Acer Backup Manager. Based on the very negative experience I had with Acer PCs when I worked in an IT Department that had to support them (until we dumped them), a backup application from them that makes a mess on your system sounds about par for the course.

Reflect will create a file something called like BackupRunning in the target destination of a backup being made, but it doesn't create folders as far as I'm aware of.

JP hit it right on the head! I checked with my IT contractor and he confirmed that he used the ACER file transfer program when changing out the HD on my ACER computer (he initially told me it was Macrium and they had to be there!) -- he didn't even realize what it mess it left.
They are all .list files so I should be able to delete them pretty easily...I just wasted so much time researching this.
