How can I change the existing number of Full and Incremental backups that are retained?

Right click the backup definition and select 'Edit', in the new dialog click on 'Next' at the bottom. In the new dialog you can change the number of each backup type you wish to keep, then click on 'Next' and in the new diaog 'Finish
