I like the convience of Windows but run my critical Backups/Restores under PE to minimize the amount of software involved. Just an option to Boot into PE would be nice (like when the OS Partition is Restored). However, supporting the specifying of at least some of the Networking parameters would be better although I recognize very few people Backup/Restore to another network connected machine. There is also an interesting "permissions" feature that you could use (unless it is a Windows 7 defect). To try to limit the destructive effects of malware, I remove ALL "permissions" from the Partition where I keep my Backups. With Windows 7 (and I assume later releases but not on Vista), the files & folders are still accessible under PE. Just a thought although I don't know whether there is a business case for providing such an option.
