1. Was running MR 7.2.3285 with Win 1803.  Previously, I had manually registered the Shell/Context Menu DLLs using regsvr32, and both RShellEx.dll and RContextMenu.dll options were working.
2. Upgraded Windows to 1809 [Version 10.0.17763.134].  Noticed RShellEx columns in Explorer windows were no longer visible, so I ran Fix VSS Problems.   No joy.  The backup comments and backup type were not listed as available columns.   
3. Manually registered both DLLs using regsvr32.  The added fields were now visible in Add Columns, and were added.    Both DLLs now work.

The shell extension DLLs falling out of registration after a Windows 10 release upgrade has been reported before, but I'm not sure why you expected that running "Fix VSS Problems" would have had any effect on this issue.  VSS has nothing to do with Explorer shell extensions.
