I recently migrated to Reflect from a competitor's software that was brilliant years ago but was 'improved'. I believe the intention was to allow for less technically competent people to be able to use the software. Instead it became an unwieldy and unreliable mess.

Today (using Reflect) I cloned my old data SSD to a newer larger one, and cloned my system SSD to the old data SSD as the small system SSD was running out of space. Not a single thing went wrong. It was intuitive, simple and fast.

My scheduled backups were simple to set up and are working across the network to my NAS.

I have yet to use the recovery tools but if they work as well as everything else I've encountered so far I doubt I'll have any issues.

Thank you for an excellent tool and please for the love of Bob dont change too much.

@tomlut, the operative words above are... "if they work."  You don't really know if you have a good System mgmt backup tool until you know it works.

I would advise you to use those tools to recover your System... for two major reasons:

You'll know for sure that it will work as you expect... and there will be no surprises when you really need to recover your System from a bad incident.

It's really not a good tool until you KNOW that the whole tool works properly...

I second Froggie’s response. There are threads on this very forum where people discovered that their Rescue Media didn’t work properly or that they didn’t know how to use it properly, only at the point when they actually needed it. In the former case, often it’s a case of needing to add/update a driver or build it using a different version of WinPE. Both of those are fairly easy to do when everything is working fine and you’re just doing some testing, but they’re both a lot more effort and aggravation when the PC that you’d normally use to build/update Rescue Media is down and you’re already stressed out. And for the latter case, make sure that you know how to load your destination folder into the Restore view so you can see all available backups, for example. Even a tool that works properly is no good if the owner doesn’t know how to use it.

Did you really need to necro-post to this a year later just to echo comments already made?

I tested this a year ago.
