Hi Sunanddoghosh,As I am sure you are aware, error code 5 is a Windows error andis defined as ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED. This implies that the CreateVirtualDiskfunction was prevented from mounting the VHDX file that viBoot created.Unfortunately, there are many reasons why this could be occurring...
The most common is that anti-virus software is holding a lock on the target file and/or folder, but you’ve stated that you have alreadyadded an exception for viBoot.Another common cause is folder permissions. This would bethe viBoot folder defined in the “Virtual Machine Repository” setting in theviBoot options (typically “C:\ProgramData\Macrium\viBoot”). Please see thefollowing link for changing folder permissions: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-files/how-do-i-change-folder-and-file-permissions/465f2b42-63dd-4486-8dd1-c870290efeedOther causes are not so obvious and would be easier to diagnosevia a Remote Support session. If you would like to open a support ticket at https://www.macrium.com/support we wouldbe happy to arrange this.Kind Regards,Macrium Support
