I am using Reflect 7.1 Build No 2833, and cannot create a Recovery Boot CD. The log gives the following error message: ' "WAIKFiles15x64" "c:\boot\macrium\WAIKFiles\mount" -notech -x64 FAILED - Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified. Unmounting the Wim - 1/23/2018 3:31 PM
According to the ImageX Tool for Windows, it successfully completes the Committing operation and then successfully unmounts the image.
Any suggestions?

In the recent cases of Rescue Media build errors, the culprit has been third-party antivirus. Are you running any?

+xIn the recent cases of Rescue Media build errors, the culprit has been third-party antivirus. Are you running any? I am running MS Security Essentials, and Malwarebytes Pro. I turned both of them off, but end up with the same error message. In previous successful Rescue Media creations, I used to get a message about downloading Windows PE, but during my current problem I do not get an indication that Windows PE is being downloaded.

The reason you're not getting a prompt to download WinPE is probably because the PE files are already there. If they weren't, you would get a prompt to download files before the rebuild operation that involves modifying the WIM file would even proceed. But if you want to force a redownload, go to C:\ProgramData\Macrium\Reflect\Windows Kits and delete the subfolder whose number corresponds to the WinPE version you're using. Then when you get to the last step of the Create Rescue Media wizard, after a few moments Reflect should pop up a dialog box telling you that WinPE files need to be downloaded. I'm not sure that will change this behavior, but I also don't have any other immediate suggestions, so if it doesn't improve anything, hopefully someone else will have an idea for you shortly.

Resolution to "Extracting Macrium PE Files operation fails" The answer was in front of me all along. The error message stated that the specified file could not be found. And yes, "WAIKFiles15x64.exe" was not on my computer! I do not know why and how it disappeared. I copied the file from another Windows 7 computer to folder "C:\Program Files\Macrium\Reflect", and then went ahead to produce a new Rescue CD.

I feel your pain. My Reflect 7.1 ran fine on many workstations but the latest update to 7.2 (7.2.3985) gives me the same error you had. Unfortunately, the log shows it's looking for WAIKFiles15x64.exe but the actual file in "C:\Program Files\Macrium\Agent" is now WAIKFiles20x64.exe. It seems the latest 7.2 update has a bug looking for old files? I've uninstalled Reflect on each computer with this error and reinstalled it but it still gives the same error. Antivirus is disabled, and copying the file over doesn't work.

The reason I say that is because the path you're posting is "C:\program files\macrium\agent\", whereas on my standalone Reflect installation, the WAIKFiles20x64.exe file is under "C:\Program Files\Macrium\Reflect". Also, you mention version 7.2.3985, whereas the latest release on the standalone track is 7.2.3957. So perhaps on the Agent version that other WAIK file name is expected? Even if that's true, that admittedly doesn't explain why it was missing, or why uninstalling and reinstalling didn't put it back, but I don't work with the Agent version myself, so I'm not sure what to suggest there. Hopefully Macrium weighs in. For @w3tno, I believe the WAIKFiles file is actually Reflect's own binaries (since I see it getting updated during patching), as opposed to the "base" WinPE files from Microsoft, which might be why tinkering with the WinPE files and forcing Reflect to redownload them didn't fix it. I suspect an uninstall and reinstall (or even just a repair installation) would have, but in any case as long as you made sure that you grabbed that file from a system running the same edition and same build of Reflect, you should be all set! If the system you copied from was running a different edition and/or release, you might want to go the reinstall route just to make sure your system is using the correct variation of that file.

@jphughan, Unfortunately the Macrium version i listed is the latest available through Macrium Site Manager. I like how Site Manager provides an easy way to manage lots of reflect backups, but it is always behind the latest release. Guess i'll sit tight for the .3957 update and hope that fixes this.

Your 3985 build is higher than the standalone 3957 build, although I don’t know if that necessarily means it’s newer. I don’t know how to access the release notes page of the Agent “track” to compare release dates.
