I really don't want to have to mess with scripting to schedule my backups to run more than once a day. I run hourly image backups and 5 minute backups for a few select folders.

I know I can tick the "Repeat task every: ..." checkbox in Task Scheduler but that's kinda cheesy, for one thing you can't (temporarily) disable the task in Reflect 6 and I've had some settings create errors.

Even EaseUS has scheduling in minutes.

Thanks

Hi JimW,

Thanks for posting and thank you for the feedback.

The feature that you have requested will be made available in a future update for Reflect.

Kind Regards,

Perhaps you could try the following, I have tried 2 incrementals a day without a problem, you could perhaps try hourly incrementals or adapt the following for full backups.

(a) Right click backup definition, assuming it is already created, and select Schedule.

(b) In the section 2. (Add/Edit Schedules) click on 'Add Schedule' and select Full. In dialog select 'monthly' and select all months needed and set the 'start time' say 1800

(c) In the section 2. (Add/Edit Schedules) click on 'Add Schedule' and select Incremental. In dialog select 'Daily' and 'Weekdays'  and set the 'start time' say 0900 > 'OK'

(d) Keep Repeating (c) for a new incrementals but choose a different time (this could be an hour later) etc repeat until all daily backups are set

(e) Set retention for full and incrementals then Click 'Next' > 'Finish'.

Hourly schedules should now run, you can also set the backups to run to the nearest minute by setting the time in hours and minutes..
You can also adapt the above to schedule Differentials and a Full backup to run several times a day. Please reply to tell others if it works with your settings
Hope this helps
Regards, et

I second this request - be able to schedule more frequently without having to modify the task's trigger in Task Scheduler. This feature would also work with ReflectService to start missed tasks as soon as possible without having to convert the task to a Windows 7 style configuration in Task Scheduler.
