Just purchased a new V7 server license.
Installed on a VMware VM - server 2012 R2 - running dual NIC's - Bound

Ran initial check/test on this and getting Network transfer rates of 20-30 MB/s ... yes MB !!!!  2 hr + to backup about 120 GB
I had this issue previously on another VM of similar configuration VM, and reverted back to Reflect 6.3 and speeds were normal again up around 400 MB/s.

Rolled this one back also to prior version and STILL getting very slow speeds ... something is not working correctly at network level on some installations.

I currently have 11 VMs running across 3 host systems and on New Dell  high powered servers am seeing Speeds up to 800-900 Mb/s
This system I am having issues with is a Domain Controller ... in a network of about 80 systems, so its not really working hard at all ... has plenty CPU and Ram to spare.
Anyone with Idea of WHY some systems may have issues with Network speeds?  This system is the Backup DC and the Primary DC has no speed issues with Macrium 6.x .... these systems are Configured identically hardware and resource wise as VM's.

Thanks for any ideas/suggestions to help pin down what may be causing the speed issues.

Hi

Thanks for posting.

There are no changes between v6 and v7 regarding writing images to network locations. The network transport layer is outside of the application layer and not something that Reflect can affect or configure.  This is likely a problem with Anti-Virus software compromising the throughput. This is especially a problem if multiple networked PCs running their own copy of AV decide to scan new Image files on visible shares as they are being created.  Can you check AV settings and exclusions. Image files are initially created as '.tmp' files and renamed to '.mrimg' on completion, excluding backup folders entirely from AV scanning would be a good test.

Kind Regards

Nick
