Given that you can customize the success/failure message, including Subject line, on a per-definition file basis, couldn't you just edit them to say "File/Folder Job completed" or "Disk Image Job completed"? Or do you mean Full vs Incremental? I guess I can see how someone might want to know that, but at that point I can see people wanting to know lots of other stuff as well (Was CBT used? How much data was backed up? How long did it take? etc.), at which point you'd have a lot of extra options just to give you the same information you can already get in the attached log. Personally, when I glance at my mailbox I just want confirmation as to whether the backup failed or was successful; in that context, HOW the success was achieved is much less important, and if I want to delve into that, I'll look at logs.
However, if Macrium wants to support having this type of information in the subject/body of the email, the way I'd suggest doing it would be for Reflect to have variables that could be placed into the email notification fields, with the list of available variables presented underneath the text fields in the configuration window. This is a fairly common practice for email notifications generated by monitoring/alerting systems. It should fairly straightforward for Macrium to implement, and it would flexible enough to allow users to include the information they want and leave out what they don't.
