My backup definition has a schedule with a NAS share and an alternative backup location on the originally Win 10 Pro machine. Every time and reproducibly, MR 7.0.2035 denies access to my NAS share with the message: Validating location: \\NAS\My Backup\Macrium Backups\My Volume\ - Invalid (Zugriff verweigert) (German Output for "Access denied"). After hours of testing with different NAS accounts, different directory names, different locations, different permissions, fixing VSS problems, I've figured out two ways to start the scheduled backups successfully: - I give my backup directory on NAS share the guest permission - not a good option. - I delete all alternative locations on the MR backup definition: Then the scheduled backup task runs without problems and stores the image on the NAS. At the moment I define an alternative backup location again, Macrium tells me, the NAS location is invalid, and the software wants to store on the alternate location. This is not the approach I am expecting to use an alternative backup location, in case the network is not accessible. My backup definitions are now running without alternative locations. A solution to use the alternative locations would be nice. Thank you, René
